At Curantis Home Nursing the placing of a carer that meets the requirements of the patient and family is primary in the

success of a good relationship.

The initial contact and follow-up is critical to the successful relationship.

The Process Of finding a Carer

  • Initial client contact with us will either be via email or telephone. In the event of email, we will then have a phone conversation for an exact understanding of your needs and requirements.
  • This is always done in conjunction with an email and the relevant documents to assist in aiding in the process.
  • Once a full understanding of requirements is gained we will arrange a visit with the family for a meet and greet and to answer any further questions.
  • At the meet and greet, where possible, the selected carer will be available to meet the client and family to ensure that the best caregiving match is provided.
  • We further have the services of Sister Lauren Baker to assist with onsite assessments should this be required.
  • It is our policy that weekly contact & regular visits to ensure consistency and relationship with the carer and your loved one.
  • We also started a WhatsApp group in which to ensure up-to-date communication with parties involved.
  • On-going assessments as and when required.
  • We will telephone to build a comprehensive brief which will be backed up by documentation that will be sent to you.
  • In conjunction with the family, we will regularly reassess the client’s needs and adjust the service accordingly
  • We adapt our service to your needs and requirements.

Personal Care Assistance

Personal Care Assistance includes bed baths, mobility, bathroom assistance & treating of bedsores. Your loved ones can count on their bath being drawn and towels set out for their use. Our home assistants all have personal care assistant training.

Preparing Meals & Assisted Feeding

On a daily basis, this means that along with meal preparation, our client can count on the fact that the dishes required for their meal will be cleared away, washed and packed. Assisted feeding is a great benefit for the elderly, sick, or anyone in need of assistance.

Administering Medication & Monitoring Vital Signs

Caregivers can play a key role in helping to identify when an actual or potential medication-related problem is occurring. This assistance can help prevent the costly and unwanted negative consequences of medication use, such as admission to acute care hospitals, assisted living facilities or nursing homes…

Light Exercise for circulation

Light exercise is important for good health at any age, and seniors are no exception, a low-impact exercise routine can benefit your health by stretching and strengthening your muscles, reducing stress, preventing injury and even helping to lower your blood pressure.

Companionship

When you think about the word “companionship”, what comes to mind? Friendship & Fellowship. For many seniors, companionship care fills a gap created by growing older. It provides a crucial link for seniors who live alone and may be isolated from others.

Light Housekeeping Duties

Housekeeping duties included are those that maintain an orderly living space that allows the person being cared for to exist in a clean environment with peace of mind that daily tasks are completed for them…
